Purpose of consultancy:
The purpose of the consultancy is to provide Strategic HR support to Country Office teams, across a range of different HR Business Processes, ranging from recruitment, Organizational Design and Change Management, career coaching and capacity assessments.
Scope of Work:
The consultancy will cover the different areas of HR business processes that include but are not limited to recruitment and selection, end-to-end organizational design, and change management processes including realignment/restructuring support, staff development and career coaching and reporting. Specifically, the consultant will:
Support organizational design processes for the below country offices. The consultant will be required to provide organizational reviews, draft restructuring recommendations and develop final proposals including financial analysis documents for submission. Provide change management support as relates to organizational review and design of the Regional Office Shared Service Center (ROSSC) business unit, and the following Country Offices: See Below Provide career coaching support to staff teams during realignment implementation phases, through one-on-one coaching sessions, including how to draft accurate and relevant job application documents, and facilitating mock interviews.
Education: An advanced degree (Master) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Training, Organisational Development, Public Administration, Law, International Development or other relevant social sciences.
Knowledge and Experience: Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a relevant field including experience in organizational design, recruitment and job fair exercises or similar change management activities Proven prior practical experience in similar exercises and ability to apply a highly objective, transparent, fair and culturally unbiased approach. Demonstrable experience in organizational design and change management processes In-depth knowledge of UNFPA or UNDP HR Policies and Procedures is an asset. Excellent organizational, people and project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to staff members in a timely and concise manner; Ability to handle confidential information; Knowledge of the assignment countries is an asset Experience with international development / humanitarian organizations is an asset;
Languages: Verbal and written fluency in English and French is required. Knowledge of another Official UN Language is desired.
