Job Description


Purpose
This Graduate Internship programme aims to create an opportunity for unemployed graduates of Sol Plaatje University residing in the Northern Cape. This programme will offer opportunities for graduates to gain useful university-based experience in a range of areas that can improve their readiness for employment and open career pathways that may not have been available without work experience.Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Honours degree or four-year equivalent qualification in biological or environmental sciences or related discipline obtained from any South African university.
Recommendation
  • Some experience in data analytics would be highly recommended.
Duties and Responsibility
  • Assisting Centre staff and post-graduate students with data capture and general data analysis.
  • Accompany and assist students and academics on field trips for their projects.
  • Assist with community-based outreach programmes and sustainability projects.
  • General administrative duties, including a strong focus on updating webpages for the Centre.
  • Assisting with 'green-campus' initiatives.
  • Attend relevant workshops and seminars offered in the Faculty.
