Job Summary Our client, a Global Giant Financial Services institution is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a competent professional to join their highly accomplished Investment Banking team, to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa. MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE : To drive superior returns for their stakeholders. To be the worlds leading investment banks trusted advisor, financier, and risk manager for their clients on their most important transactions. To play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on their advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. To advise a client company on a cross-border merger, structuring the initial public offering of a subsidiary, refinancing an outstanding bond and more. To build long-term relationships with clients and bring them world-class execution by "delivering the firm" over time. To foster the "employer of choice" branding for all career levels by providing and mentoring a highly dynamic, competent, meritocratic, diverse staff complement and providing a highly rewarding working environment. KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS : At minimum 3 years investment banking or equivalent experience. A solid history of outstanding academic and professional achievement A strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple groups and regions. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Create and analyse financial models, organizing, and preparing client presentations, helping manage transaction processes, and assisting in structuring transactions. Gain exposure to the firms businesses and expand knowledge of the investment banking industry, through developing key analytical, communications and marketing skills. Develop financial models, perform customized company valuation analysis by being actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. Organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, assess clients situations to provide the necessary financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions; lead due diligence processes and actively participate in the negotiations of legal documentation.
