LOCATION: Cape Town.3 roles exist. Obviously the more junior roles require less experience than the Principal roles. However, the passion, academic skills and work ethic,don't change.R HIGHLY NEGOTIABLE PLUS ANNUAL PERFORMANCE BONUSOur client is an early-stage VC originally founded within a highly successful FS Firm and now operates independently. Their founding investors, (provide patient capital that is deeply committed to creating prosperity through entrepreneurship in South Africa and the rest of the continent. This support allows them to have a long-term orientation in building the company to become a great and enduring venture investment business. They have made 18 investments to date, across 3 funds. A highly committed team of five with a passion and commitment that is rarely seen!They now seek an investment principal to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity. You need to be committed to this particular space; happy to work in a relative start up - with funding - but have the right technical experience and attitude++The company is seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced investment principal to join their early-stage venture capital firm. This individual will play a pivotal role in building and managing their portfolio, developing their firm and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture within the firm. The role offers the potential for progression to a partner position based on demonstrated performance and leadership.

• You are Interested in an entrepreneurial environment

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• You have a strong background in strategic planning and execution;
• You have excellent organisational and planning skills.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• You are a CA(SA); CFA?MBA
• You have extensive experience in venture capital or private equity;
• You have a proven track record in working with/in startups or entrepreneurial businesses;
• You have a long history of meaningful achievements across multiple contexts;
• You have a long history of leadership across multiple contexts;
• You have a long history of entrepreneurial initiatives;
• You have an interest in start-ups and technology;
• You are a force of nature;
• You are able to take responsibility for actions and outcomes;
• You are able to reflect on experiences, learn from mistakes and strive for continuous improvement.
