Plan working time in accordance with the requirements of the audit schedule
Prepare personal audit working documents in accordance with instructions from the audit team leader and the internal requirements of the company
During the on-site audit:
Arrive promptly on time for the audit
Collect objective evidence by means of review of documentation, interviews with auditees, observation of auditees as they carry out their duties, and (if applicable) examining the outputs of auditees activities; recording this evidence in Audit Notes
Assist the audit team leader with the classification of audit findings and preparation of reports
As necessary, support the audit team leader during meetings with the audit customer
Promote a positive professional image, including the wearing of PPE as required by the customer
Respond to customer questions relevant to the audit and certification processes
Inform the Certification Manager of customer complaints, and raising these on the CAPA system
Attend staff meetings, auditor experience exchanges, customer focus days, and training sessions, as required by the Business Stream Manager and/or the Certification Manager
Take responsibility for maintaining his/her appointment as an auditor by:
Attending at least one auditor experience exchange a year
Proper time management
Ensuring that auditing work is monitored by a competent auditor as required, and at least once every three years; studying and learning from the monitoring results; taking any corrective action necessary to improve skills and knowledge
Ensuring participation in a minimum of two external audits within the appointment period (3 years)
Maintaining knowledge of latest information on material technology best practise through Continual Personal Development (CPD) training exchanges
Maintaining CP- SG/PV registration where necessary to support the RBI Team
Implement and adhere to the companys South African Group management system requirements
Single AssignmentsBeside the above listed job duties, special assignments have to be carried out based on the instructions of the direct superior. Those special assignments are usually connected to above listed activities or those assignments are a result of company policy.COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION
Engineering Degree or Engineering National Diploma (Preferably in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Welding Engineering)
Certified as International Welding Engineer (IWE) or International Welding Technologist (IWT)
Registered Competent Persons - Steam Generator (SG) or Pressure Vessel (PV) with 2 years inspection/ integrity assurance of process equipment (SANS 347 and PER)
Certified ISO 9001 lead auditor
Certification in one of the SANS 347 RBI health and safety standards such as; API 580, CWA 15740 (RIMAP), ASME PCC3
WORK EXPERIENCE
4 years experience in case of a degree and 6 years experience if National Diploma
Direct or related experience of at least 3 years in the sectors design, manufacture, operation of pressure equipment, inspection/monitoring of pressure equipment
Direct or related experience of more than 3 years in welding within the last 5 years
Knowledge of material acceptance testing principles such as destructive and non-destructive testing
Management system auditing for 2 years and ISO 9001 or ISO 17020 lead auditors qualification
Knowledge of Pressure Equipment Regulation (PER), SANS 347 and Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and the associated harmonized or health and safety standards
Knowledge of risk and hazard assessment principles related to RBI
