This role requires in-depth technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, its market dynamics, and the unique challenges faced by the companyAnalyse and interpret business requirements provided by stakeholders, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and the company's strategic goalsWork closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and analysts to design effective software solutionsCreate detailed process designs, workflows, and architectural diagrams using tools like Microsoft Visio to document and communicate the proposed solutions that address the needs of the businessLeverage advanced software development skills and expertise in technologies such as PowerApps, Power Automate, and other low-code/no-code platforms to develop innovative, user-friendly, and scalable software solutionsEnsure that the developed solutions are aligned with business requirements, industry regulations, and the company's technological roadmapImplement comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, integration, and performance testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of the developed solutionsCollaborate with the IT team and subject matter experts to validate the solutions before deploymentCollaborate with the analysis team and subject matter experts to validate solutions before handoverContinuously monitor the performance and usage of the deployed applications, and identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancementsQuickly address any bugs, errors, or user-reported issues, ensuring the smooth operation of the software application Utilize strong problem-solving skills to understand and address business stakeholder pain points within the business contextUtilize strong problem-solving skills and industry knowledge to understand and address complex business challenges faced by the company and use technology to address the challengesProvide technical support and guidance to end-users, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimize the software solutionsEstimate work content and timelines accurately, and manage software development projects to ensure successful and timely delivery of the solutionsCoordinate with managers, business stakeholders, and the development team to ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budgetActively participate in cross-functional teams, sharing technical expertise, industry insights, and best practices to contribute to the overall success of the companyMentor and train junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the organization EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSMatric/ Grade 12Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS3+ years of experience as a software developer is essential,Proficient in developing solutions using PowerApps, Power Automate, and other Microsoft Power Platform toolsProficient with Agile software development methodologies and experience in integrating applications and data sourcesExperience with a focus on low-code/no-code development platforms would be beneficialStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex technical challengesA proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they become significant problemsStrong organizational skills to maintain clear documentation, code structure, and project recordsSOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENTSExcellent communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a small, resource-constrained environmentPassion for staying up to date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software developmentEagerness to learn new skills and technologies to contribute to the growth and success of the small IT teamAbility to quickly apply new knowledge and adapt to changing technology landscapesProactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and taking ownership of projects and tasksAbility to work independently and make decisions within the team's overall goals and objectivesWillingness to go the extra mile to ensure the success of the small IT team and the organization as a whole COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIREDProgramming languages and frameworksDatabase ManagementSoftware Architecture and Design PatternsCloud Computing and DevOpsSoftware Testing and Quality Assurance10d CompliancePreference will be given to previously disadvantaged groups.
