They have their own factory and they manufacture their own apparel as well as direct imports. There is no existing team to manage - it is a strategic and planning role, building the future roadmap of their technology and efficiencies. The role does require management of the Service Providers. Overview of the role: With the growth experienced in, primarily, the Retail space of the greater group, a need has arisen to bring in the experience and skills of a dynamic and strategic Senior IT individual to service the Retail needs as well as provide support and direction to the Group. Retail comprises two companies covering 3 brands and operating across the country serviced from Head Office in KZN. The majority of the IT needs, complexity and connectivity demands sit within the Retail business, however support and guidance is needed to align best practice across the group. Key Performance Areas ( including but not limited to ): Experience leading and managing large IT projects Establishing and managing multi system integrations Strong change management Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize Firm grasp on IT and Retail best practices Good knowledge of enterprise-wide risk management principles and policies Good understanding of enterprise value management Basic knowledge of relevant financial and company legislation Good knowledge of business internal controls and systems Good knowledge of corporate governance principles and policies Good understanding of core business principles Good understanding of management of Business Information Systems Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (required) At least 5 years experience managing IT Operations Experience working with an ERP and POS systems Key Competencies: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent understanding of IT architecture and multiple system integrations Good management skills. Ability to problem solve.
