IT Manager DURBANOur client is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Manager to oversee and manage their company's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and security of their on-premise servers, network infrastructure, and end-user devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems, network management (WAN & LAN), cybersecurity, and ERP systems, including SQL database management. Additionally, the role requires expertise in setting up remote management systems to efficiently maintain and monitor endpoint devices.Key Responsibilities:IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the companyxe2x80x99s IT systems, including on-premise servers, 160 endpoints, network devices, and security systems.Network Administration: Manage and maintain both WAN and LAN infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.Server Management: Ensure all on-premise servers are operational, secure, and regularly backed up, with appropriate failover systems in place.Endpoint Device Management: Implement and manage remote monitoring and management (RMM) systems to streamline support for all endpoint devices.Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Implement security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, encryption, and access control policies to safeguard company data and IT assets.ERP System Management: Support and maintain the companyxe2x80x99s ERP system, ensuring seamless integration with business operations.SQL Database Administration: Oversee and maintain SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and backups.Cloud & Remote Access Solutions: Configure and manage remote access solutions, including VPNs, cloud services, and remote desktop solutions.IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently.IT Policies & Compliance: Develop and enforce IT policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.Vendor & Service Provider Management: Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure optimal IT service delivery and procurement.Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures.IT Budgeting & Procurement: Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement of hardware, software, and IT services.Staff Training & Development: Provide training and guidance to employees on IT best practices and cybersecurity awareness.Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar role.Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux-based server environments.Proficiency in network infrastructure management (WAN, LAN, VLAN, VPN, and firewall configurations).Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote desktop management.Expertise in ERP systems and SQL database management.Experience implementing and managing remote management and monitoring tools (RMM).Strong cybersecurity knowledge, including threat detection and mitigation.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a fast-paced environment.Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus.Experience with Microsoft Dynamaics is a plus.Please send your CV to catherine@dynanicoutlook.co.za
