Currently we are looking for an IT Coordinator (12 month contract) for all Site related projects to be based within sub-Sahara Africa for all site related projects to be part of our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future. Perform a variety of simple and complex information technology coordinating, troubleshooting and analytical duties to ensure smooth delivery of IT services at Scatec sites. Coordinate, assist, and train end users to operate computer hardware, software, and peripherals within Scatec. Extensive travel will be required. Cape Town will be the home base for the IT Coordinator.Main responsibilities

• Contact person for IT related issues in Scatec plant and construction sites
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment
• Create user accounts in various Scatec systems and assign licenses and permissions
• Set up computers for new users and provide technology training to new users
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support to end-users
• Setup, config and maintenance of printers and multifunction machines
• Ensure tickets are created and followed up on IT service desk ticketing system
• Troubleshoot CPE devices, routers and Wi-Fi extenders to resolve site network connectivity issues
• Ensure compliant use of IT equipment (i.e., mobile phones, laptops, conferencing rooms)
• Maintain IT service support best practices and follow the necessary security policies and procedures
• Ensure proper documentation of all IT assets at Scatec sites.

Qualifications and competencies

• Diploma in IT or related field (Information Technology, Systems Support, Communication Networks)
• CompTIA A+ and N+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), AZURE Foundation preferred, SharePoint, Office 365 certification advantage
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position with 1st & 2nd Line support experience
• Office 365 business applications and services and security best practices surrounding these (including Messaging (Exchange, Teams); Document and Data management (SharePoint, OneDrive)
• Knowledge of computer networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• IT Security (Firewalls, software services and security policy)
• Independent, proactive & resilient to IT site/field support
• General work ethic of trust, honesty, integrity, punctuality, and diligence
