IT Support Engineer Information Technology
Ekhurhuleni-GautengJoin our esteemed global pharmaceutical client as an IT Plant Support Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture and Security, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and monitoring of all IT-related activities. From network infrastructure to data administration and IT support coordination, you'll ensure seamless operations align with organisational business objectives. Your SAP support and manufacturing experience give you an advantage.Educational qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in a relevant discipline or other equivalent tertiary qualification.
• One or more IT certifications, ie CompTIA network+, Microsoft Certifications, ITIL.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure optimal operation of IT infrastructure
• Assess the feasibility of new digital projects
• Provide management reports on performance
• Continuously assess company and user needs for IT system optimization
• Manage disaster recovery plans and backups
• Maintain site IT infrastructure and software systems (e.g., PABX, Biometric systems, OT systems)
• Assist with networking (rollouts, layouts, troubleshooting)
• Support desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices
• Support SAP processes at the plant level
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and enable IT solutions
• Communicate IT policies and procedures to team members and address IT-related issues
• Ensure adoption of implemented solutions within the site
• Recommend technology solutions aligned with IT roadmap and business requirements
• Identify cross-functional solutions to harmonize IT solutions across functions
• Provide ongoing support for business applications to enhance user experience
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including business units and information technology.
• Managing vendors by day-to-day interactions and providing necessary support for timely completion of projects and solutions.
• Providing support and training on solutions implemented
• Being an IT change leader within the site
