Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records using

Pastel Accounting

software. Process accounts payable/receivable and perform monthly reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts using

Microsoft Excel

(advanced functions required, e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements. Support audits and liaise with external auditors as needed. Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes. Perform ad-hoc administrative and financial tasks.

Requirements:

Minimum of

5 years' experience

in an accounting role.

Proficiency in Pastel Accounting

and

advanced Microsoft Excel

skills (formulas, macros, data analysis). Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Solid understanding of VAT, PAYE, and other tax compliance matters. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred:

Certification with SAIPA, CIMA, SAICA, or similar.
