Jnr Civil Engineer - Somerset WestFull job descriptionLeading construction company based in Somerset West in need of a Jnr Civil Engineer with a minimum of 3 xe2x80x93 4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide technical support to Construction Managers in the planning, construction and management of Civil Engineering projects. This individual must me practically inclined and have experience working on construction sites.Duties will include, but are not limited to:Read and review project drawings and plansAssist managers in planning and managing the work programmeLiaising with internal and external stakeholders (Client Representatives, Engineers, Construction Managers and Contracts Managers) relating to design team refinements and negotiation of modifications as requiredCAD draughting of temporary worksSurveying and setting out of structuresSupervising and managing work activitiesResponsible for resource and material managementFinding solutions to overcome unforeseen construction difficultiesCompleting works to deadlines and quality standardsAttending site meetingsAssessing and managing safety protocolsCompleting relevant client reportsBasic Programming (Ms Projects)QualificationsAdvanced Diploma / B.Tech (Construction Management) / B.Eng (Civil Engineering)Minimum 3 xe2x80x93 4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience working on medium to large sized pipeline construction projectsRegistered with ECSA as Pr.Eng / Pr.Tech will be advSound understanding of engineering codes and technical standardsCAD experienceSkills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Afrikaans)Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teamsExcellent understanding of engineering concepts and application of knowledgeGood understanding of industry codes and standardsExcellent organisational and time management skillsProblem solving mindset with attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAdaptability and flexibility to meet project demandsIf you are interested in this opportunity, apply with your most recent resume & supporting documents or give us a call.Please note should you not receive a response from us within 7 working days; kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
