Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:Primary Objective of Position
This role entails technical accounting and financial reporting within the Backoffice finance team. The position acts as a finance business partner and supportto commercial divisions within the business.This role is based in our Roodepoort OfficeResponsibilities:
- Monthly financial reporting and journal posting.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly calculations and postings for inventory and debtors.
- Preparation and submission of sales and cost of sales.
- Reporting of Bad Debt Reserves.
- Preparation and submission of SPOC i.e. Accounting for Spare Parts,
the end of the month and reconciling the closing balance per the tie-out to the
General Ledgers and associated reconciliations.
- Open new customer accounts and credit vetting in accordance with Abbott
- Monitoring of Held Orders.
- Assist with audit queries and general query resolution.
- Support senior accountant with general finance functions.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting OR relatedExperience:
a Minimum of 4 years experience within a similar role.
Debtors experience is essential
Advanced Excel experience essential
Proactive individual with a drive to deliver results
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various personalities
