Job Description
Dynamic and professional Accounting Consultancy seeks a Junior Accountant to join them. This role is well suited to a recently graduated accounting candidate, who has good levels of confidence, and who is willing to learn and has a keen interest in growing into an Accountant servicing a variety of clients and industries. This role is available on a largely remote working model. Role reports to Director. Great opportunity to get into a growing consultancy!
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping (Xero, Quickbooks accounting packages) capture supplier invoices and raising client invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain Fixed Asset register
- Reconcile intercompany loans
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Reconcile Supplier statements
- Assist with Accounts receivable collections
- Prepare payroll and SARS submissions (efilling, Simple Pay payroll package)
- Review and submit VAT201 on efilling
- Submit Income Tax on efilling
- Assist with Budgets and Cash flow forecasts
- Prepare and review Annual Financial statements
- COIDA annual declarations (workman's compensation)
- Submit CIPC Annual returns
- Process documents on Sales, Purchases and Payroll
- Minimum of completed BCom Accounting degree
- Minimum of 0-3 years' relevant experience
- Must be MS Office proficient and strong MS Excel skills
- Previous experience with Xero, Quickbooks, efilling an added plus, but can be trained, too
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
