Role: Junior Accountant - Fixed Term
Location: Hermanus, Overberg, Western Cape
Salary: Marker relatedKey Responsibilities:
Debtors:

• Manage debtors and ensure timely collection of outstanding fees.
• Reconcile client fees received with the CRM system.
• Invoice and receipt client fees accurately on the accounting system.
• Address discrepancies in receipts not reflected in the CRM system.

Creditors:

• Process supplier bills and expense approvals adhering to company policies.
• Conduct creditor reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
• Facilitate daily payments to service providers.
• Obtain valid B-BBEE certificates from suppliers.

Accounting:

• Download and organize bank statements from online banking platforms.
• Record all bank transactions and perform reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash including withdrawals, recording expenses, and monthly reconciliations.
• Process journals for interest, loan capital, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support auditors during audit processes with necessary documentation.
• Assist with other month-end procedures and journals as needed.

Administration:

• Maintain organized electronic filing of all source documents.

Cash Flow Management:

• Prepare daily cash flow reports, including income, expenses, and net cash flow.
• Generate daily cash inflow reports for the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Other Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk rating assessments of clients.
• Facilitate client local payments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
