Junior Bookkeeper (to Trial Balance)

Job Description
Our Client who specializes in customized electrical furniture, delivering electrical and data services directly to their clients' desks is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper. Location: Lanseria.
Salary Bracket: R16,000 R18,000 (dependent on experience and skill set) with review after 3 months.
Starting Date: ASAP
General Requirements:
- Must have own transport (not negotiable)
- Non-smoker (not negotiable)
- Reside in Johannesburg North or West Rand areas
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Accounting (not negotiable)
- Proficiency in Xero Online Accounts platform is required (not negotiable)
- Knowledge of SharePoint preferred; training will be provided if necessary
- Competent in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook
- Managing wage payroll
- Handling PAYE and IRP5 submissions
- Annual submissions for WCA
- Processing client cashbooks and conducting bank reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial transaction records
- Updating and managing the general ledger
- Reconciling entries in the accounting system
- Maintaining trial balance through reconciliation of cashbooks and general ledgers
- Calculating and submitting VAT
- General bookkeeping up to Trial Balance for clients
- Preparing VAT reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues and clients
- Organizational and teamwork abilities
- Integrity
- Flexibility to adapt to various working styles
- High level of accuracy in work
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
