Experience Experience RequiredIntroductionA well established fashion retailer based in Durban is in search of dynamic Junior Fashion Buyer to join their ladieswear department.DescriptionYour key responsibilities would include but not limited to:
To develop your understanding of the retail buying process you would be responsible for administrative aspects within your department.

• This would include:
• Order capturing
• Sample management
• Merchandise input, Liaise with suppliers, planners and stores on issues related to the department
• Analysis of post mortem figures - Input in terms of trends to establish strategic merchandise assortment plans
• Source the best quality merchandise to meet trends in line with merchandise assortment plan and target market
• Prepare and present representative merchandise assortment which reflects the total buy
• Negotiate the best deals with suppliers by selecting the best suppliers
• Executing these key tasks within your Buying team will help enable the merchant processes and ensure adherence to important timelines
• Regular correspondence with suppliers around samples and strike offs
• Liaise with suppliers, planners and stores on issues related to the department.

Education ProfileMinimum Requirements:

• Matric
• Tertiary Qualification
• 2 years buying experience in a similar fashion retail buying environment
