Junior CAD & BIM Coordinator - Table View Salary between R11 500 R14 500 Per Month Market Related

In this role, you will oversee and turn rough sketches into technical drawings, such as facility layouts, floor plans, roadway maps, and electrical designs. You will be expected to apply multiple engineering and CAD disciplines and ensure adherence of structural elements to technical drafting standards.
You will be overseeing and implementing BIM technology to assist in the project coordination process. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all members of the project team are following the BIM Execution Plan. This includes making sure that everyone is using the right software, exchanging data regularly, and adhering to the model standards set forth in the plan.

In addition to these duties, you will also be responsible for training new team members on BIM processes, maintaining the BIM models throughout the project lifecycle and provide support to CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence. A large degree of the scope particularly in this Senior role is QA. Quality checking/assurance to ensure CAD and BIM output from teams are done correctly and accurately. Using the QA information to identify knowledge or training gaps and ensuring the correct training is provided.

Essential Requirements:

Relevant Architectural Draughting qualification

Applicant must have a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.

Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years in AutoCAD 2D, and 3D experience.

Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a BIM environment and is familiar with Revit and other BIM applications.

Experience:

Managing workload in a high fast paced working environment.

Provide guidance and direction to CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence.

BIM Coordination and daily management of BIM project data sets/workflows and project set up.

Technical management of project BIM data sets.

Helping to technically deliver BIM projects in the role of CAD and BIM coordination.

Provide technical support for BIM enabling software applications to the team.

Prepare and manage training documentation.

Major project BIM experience on large scale projects in Autodesk Revit and associated software as well as working with combined architectural, MEP, Site and Structural models.

Prepare and project BIM execution plans in line with client requirements.

Provide maintenance and support for implementation of client BIM execution plans.

Quality checking of daily CAFM CAD work and quality checking BIM models.

Working in an SLA based environment.

Initiate and maintain contact with clients for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues.

Skills

Drafting architectural layout using Revit Architecture (Essential).

Drafting architectural layout using AutoCAD 2D and 3D (Essential).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Essential).

Have good numeric skills and analytical ability (Essential).

Proficient with the Microsoft Office such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook etc. (Essential).

Should be able to work confidently on their own and has strong collaboration skills to add within a team (Essential).

Ability to read technical drawings for building and floor plans. (Essential).

Drafting Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing layouts using Revit MEP (Advantageous).

Knowledge of Dynamo for Revit, and the ability to read and write scripts (Advantageous).

Using Navisworks for BIM Model quality checking (Advantageous).

Working Hours: Be flexible to work shifts between 8am 11pm

Should be able to work from home when required and have their own transport.
