Job Description
The primary function of this role is to develop services, reports, and applications to meet business requirements. This position is also responsible for providing second and third level support to reduce costs associated with external service consultants. Additionally, the role is located in Umlaas KwaZulu Natal and focuses on cost reduction through effective systems and hardware architecture.Development
- Creation of services, reports, and applications as per business requirements and agreed deadlines.
- Assist IT and IS support personnel in solving technical problems escalated to you.
- Resolve issues by confirming the validity of the problem and seeking known or creating new solutions within the departmental timeframe.
- Comprehensive documentation of new and existing systems at a technical level to ensure support continuity.
- Complete all required documentation fully and provide supporting documents if needed.
- Train level 1 support and other development personnel on new and existing systems to ensure they can provide the required support to the business.
- Manage projects in line with business requirements.
- Ensure efficient planning, executing, controlling, and closing of projects to achieve agreed goals, criteria, and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12 Certificate)
- Relevant BSc Degree or Diploma
- Possession of a valid Code 08/EB driverxe2x80x99s license
- 2+ years of experience in a similar position
- Solid MS SQL Query skills
