Job Description
Job Summary Well established dealership in Johannesburg North is looking for an Accountant to join their growing team.Qualifications:
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field / National Diploma in Accounting
- Proven working experience as a Dealership Accountant or in a similar role.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
