Junior Electronics / Instrumentation Technician

Techniques Group is an established group of companies in the automation sector, currently recruiting for a Junior Technician to join the technical team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Junior Technician will be responsible:

Service and Maintenance of equipment Fault finding of equipment Installation and commissioning of new equipment Repair needs of customer's equipment to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
Desired Experience & Qualification

Skills & Duties:

Work on :

Electronic/Electrical Hardware Variable Frequency Invertors/Drives PLC and SCADA programming Computer Hardware and Software Networking device's: Switches, Routers, Modems, Cabling, etc. Switchgear (e.g. Relays, Contactors,etc)

Responsibilities:

Be able to install and commission equipment on site. Ability to work independently and be self- driven Service and maintenance of existing customer equipment. Manufacturing and wiring of electrical panels (Single and Three phase supply) Attend to breakdowns on a 24/7 basis if & when required. Knowledge of fault finding and running of diagnostics on processing and automation software Knowledge of reading and applying electrical drawings. Ability to work well under pressure. Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements Maintain relationships with existing customers Sound oral & written communication skills

Requirements:

Valid South African drivers license.

Own Vehicle to be used for business use (Work KM reimbursements apply)

Grade 12 S4/National Diploma/Btech : Electrical/Electronic engineering Intermediate level in MS Office 1 to 3 Years' Experience as an Instrument Technician Ablity to make use of electronic/electrical measurement instruments e.g oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, etc
