Join us.The Junior Environmental Scientist contributes to the development of technical proposals. Develops assigned sections of EIA/ESIA studies, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and Environmental project models as per specific discipline requirement and exports draft and final environmental reports under the supervision of an experienced Engineer/Environmental Scientist/ Environmental Manager.Technical Excellence:

• Contributes to the development of technical proposals.
• Develops assigned sections of EIA/ESIA studies, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and Environmental project models as per specific discipline requirement and exports draft and final environmental reports under the supervision of an experienced Engineer/Environmental Scientist/ Environmental Manager.
• Assists with the design/report content by applying both design and technical and legislative knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs under project timelines.
• Under Supervision, performs work following the agreed-upon budget and schedule.
• When required, collects, analyses and integrates information from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project data sets Uses computer software as a tool for solving fundamental engineering/ environmental problems and report writing.
• Coordinates with other discipline Engineers/ Scientists as applicable for the continuity of the Environmental study process.
• Participates in study evaluation progress and coordination meetings.
• Checks and ensures the quality of the model, survey and study teams for accuracy to reporting requirements.
• Actively seeks information, opportunities to participate and contribute, and develops efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Contributes by solving problems and applying experience or theoretical knowledge to atypical assignments.

Client Relationship Management:
Begins to participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain/defend work, etc.QualificationsMinimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science/Arts or Engineering from an accredited University.
• Registered or qualify to register as candidate Scientist with SACNASP and EAP with EAPASA.
• 3+ years relevant experience
