Junior Farm Manager / Viticulturist - Wine Estate FranschoekFull job descriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Junior Farm Manager / Viticulturist.Oversee the management of both the vineyard and farm, guaranteeing prime grape yields for winemaking and lucrative agricultural activities. Duties include strategizing production, overseeing vineyard operations, managing grapevine planting, budget oversight, maintenance of equipment and facilities, ensuring agricultural regulatory adherence, integrating sustainable farming methodologies, data analysis and managing a large team.Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):Total production management of all Wine Grapes;Implement WIETA & IPW standards, and keep files up to date;Personnel management;Management of day-to-day activities on the farm;Budget and Costing management;Management of fertilizing, pest & disease control programmes;Irrigation scheduling;Managing and maintaining probes & weather stations;Assist Cellar Master/Winemaker on farms from where grapes are bought in.Requirements:A tertiary qualification in Agriculture;At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in similar position;Knowledge of farming with Wine Grapes;Great management skills & well organised;Innovative;Attention to detail;Ability to speak English and Afrikaans is essential.Please send your CV to apply below
