Job Description
Requirements Education:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Accounting.
- Exposure to a large corporate environment, preferably within a group of companies.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Performance-driven with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable, accountable, and detail-oriented.
- Compile and distribute monthly financial and management reports.
- Meet critical month-end deadlines.
- Review financial performance and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
- Generate GP reports for analysis and margin interrogation.
- Compile monthly general ledger reconciliations.
- Capture financial entries and prepare detailed reports for business units.
- Maintain Capex records, including applications, additions, disposals, depreciation, and accounting entries.
- Prepare Exco packs and PDF documents for senior decision-makers.
- Ensure adherence to internal processes and company policies.
- Monitor Finance compliance tasks and assist in internal and external audits, ensuring no material issues arise.
- Regularly review and update finance policies.
- Identify and drive system enhancements to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required.
