Job Description
Overview:This role reports directly into the Financial Manager for the expanding national business. It is part of a national FMCG/wholesale business, focusing on high end products in the electronic/imaging/personal care product space.Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of journal entries
- Accurate processing of intercompany reconciliations
- Accurate processing and reconciliation of Management Accounts.
- Assist in preparation of supporting documents for relevant SARS audits
- Assist with audit file preparations for external auditors
- Work closely with Financial Manager to ensure adequate financial controls
- General admin duties / ad hoc duties
- Proven experience as a Junior Financial Accountant
- Proficient in accounting software (SAP Business One) and MS Office, with Advanced Excel experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Education: BCom Accounting / Financial Degree
- High attention to detail / accuracy
- Ability to work in a high pressurized environment and to meet deadlines timeously.
- 3+ years experience in working as a Junior Financial Accountant
- BCom Accounting / Financial Degree
- Experience in working on accounting packages.
- Proficient in Excel (Advanced)
- Experience in SAP Business One is advantageous.
- Experience in SAP Business One is advantageous.
