Job Description


My client is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Financial Manager to oversee critical financial operations, drive profitability, and provide strategic insights that make a lasting impact.This role is based in Johannesburg South.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Reporting:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including payroll processing, creditor payments, debtor collections, and other transactions.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit estimates, management accounts, and cash flow management.
  • Lead the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Approve EFT payments and manage CAPEX projects, including asset acquisitions and disposals.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain company liquidity.
Risk & Compliance:
  • Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance.
Strategic & Business Support:
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Act as a financial business partner, providing insights to departments to optimize performance.
  • Participate in tender evaluations, offering financial and commercial recommendations.
  • Contribute to achieving BBBEE compliance and meeting transformation targets.
Leadership & Human Resources:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Oversee talent management, including recruitment, training, and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure compliance with employment equity and skills development requirements.
Quality, Health & Safety Compliance:
  • Promote and enforce adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards in the finance function.
IT & Asset Management:
  • Assist in troubleshooting IT issues and support audit-related IT requirements.
  • Manage the accurate recording and reporting of import/export financial transactions.
  • Oversee asset management, including fixed asset registers and audits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations, risk management, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and financial software systems.
  • Experience with import/export regulations and transactions is advantageous
