Job Summary We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual to fill the position of Junior Formulation Chemist. This is a half day position reporting directly to the Senior Formulation Chemist. Detailed duties include: xe2x80xa2 Make product samples for new product development, stability and other relevant testing xe2x80xa2 Conduct stability testing xe2x80xa2 Check and approve artwork, claims etc. Ensuring compliance to both local and global regulatory standards as well as safety of existing and new formulations. xe2x80xa2 Assist with the preparation of documentation for customers such as product information files, new formulation sheets, manufacturing batch sheets, raw material lists etc xe2x80xa2 Costings for new formulation development xe2x80xa2 Creation of new MSDS xe2x80xa2 Writing up of new product ingredient lists xe2x80xa2 Perform calibrations and verification checks on laboratory/manufacturing equipment. xe2x80xa2 Ensure there is sufficient stock of chemicals, glassware, stationery and other items xe2x80xa2 Assist with general laboratory admin such as filing of invoices, COAs, organizing the raw materials in the laboratory when necessary Employee specifications and competencies: xe2x80xa2 Knowledge, skills and abilities: o Ability to converse clearly and effectively in English o Willing and eager to learn o Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. o Proficient Computer skills (Windows, MS Office) xe2x80xa2 Minimum level of education/ qualifications required: o Grade 12 o Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Chemistry or science
