Junior Formulation Chemist
Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual to fill the position of Junior Formulation Chemist. This is a half day position reporting directly to the Senior Formulation Chemist. Detailed duties include: Make product samples for new product development, stability and other relevant testing Conduct stability testing Check and approve artwork, claims etc. Ensuring compliance to both local and global regulatory standards as well as safety of existing and new formulations. Assist with the preparation of documentation for customers such as product information files, new formulation sheets, manufacturing batch sheets, raw material lists etc Costings for new formulation development Creation of new MSDS Writing up of new product ingredient lists Perform calibrations and verification checks on laboratory/manufacturing equipment. Ensure there is sufficient stock of chemicals, glassware, stationery and other items Assist with general laboratory admin such as filing of invoices, COAs, organizing the raw materials in the laboratory when necessary Employee specifications and competencies: Knowledge, skills and abilities: o Ability to converse clearly and effectively in English o Willing and eager to learn o Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. o Proficient Computer skills (Windows, MS Office) Minimum level of education/ qualifications required: o Grade 12 o Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Chemistry or science
