Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Function Coordinator to join our team at a unit in Sandton.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in planning catering arrangements. Assists in the preparation and cooking of meals. Assist in planning menu. Daily costing sheets to be completed. Oversee the purchase, storage and issuing of stock. Supervise provision of all crockery, cutlery, detergents, kitchenware, etc.. Ensure adequate stock control and security. Record keeping of payments, expenses, temperature logs, safety & hygiene documentation. Plan, coordinate and supervise activities of staff in dining room, kitchen and other areas. Assist in managing staff, training and time schedules. To report and where possible take action when faced with customer and client complaints or compliments. To ensure that the Company & Statutory regulations regarding cleanliness & hygiene are complied with within all tasks undertaken.

Qualifications:

Matric / Senior Certificate Relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality with experience in the catering sector Minimum of

3 years
