Job Description

Afrirent Holdings is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to create basic graphic designs and develop/enhance visually engaging content which elevates Afrirent's overall visual identity and communication effectiveness and reinforces the Afrirent brand. The role is responsible for designing/enhancing basic concepts into graphics that effectively communicates Afrirent's brand messaging.

Responsibilities

Executes creative designs on graphics, including digital and print materials, advertisements, social media posts and marketing collateral Maintains brand consistency on all designs and assignments and adheres to brand guidelines and design standards Conducts research to support the creation of logos, brand assets and style guides Works closely with the team to understand requirements and revises designs, where appropriate, and improves the quality of designs Delivers designs which effectively communicates Afrirent's brand messages Prepares files for print production and collaborates with external vendors and printers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of printed materials Conducts research and remains updated on design trends, emerging technologies and industry best practices in order to continuously improve on the effectiveness of design quality Prepares files and specifications for print, social media posts and other digital media Participates in and contributes to brainstorming and concept development sessions Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs, project goals, and deadlines Collaborates with external vendors, printers, and agencies as needed to produce high-quality print materials and deliverables Handles and resolves basic graphic design-related queries and escalates unresolved matters Creates and maintains a directory/database of Afrirent design, photography, videography and multimedia work Assists with photography, videography, and multimedia projects to support marketing initiatives Compiles and submits reports and/or statistics as required by the Team

Qualifications

Diploma (NQF level 6) in Graphic Design / Visual Arts / Visual Communication / Information Design / Communication Design Intermediate Certification in Microsoft Powerpoint

Experience

1-2 years of experience in graphic design (internships, freelance, volunteer work, or projects count.)
