Great Job for a Young Graphic Designer who wants to work with a dynamic Team!

This is an Independent Contractor role where we require the individual to come to work 2 x per week in office (Stellenbosch Cape Town) for team sessions and collaboration and the rest of the role to be project based - remotely on a Project bases is the costing and not monthly if required as per the project deadlines.

*The role encompasses the overall responsibility for ensuring the end to end coordination and visual content to communicate a message across to an audience or a market which captures the visual hierarchy, page layout, typography and images, various online media tools to meet the users specific needs.

*To ensure an interactive user experience that optimize the whole customer journey.

*Have extensive experience with AI tools and understanding how to work with them to achieve the project deadlines.

Core Outputs:

Design and format educational materials such as textbooks, study guides, brochures, newsletters, and presentations. Collaborate with educators and department leads to understand the objectives and content of various projects and transform them into polished, visually engaging documents. Ensure all materials meet institutional branding guidelines and design standards, maintaining consistency across all publications. Prepare documents for both print and digital distribution, ensuring they meet technical requirements and quality standards. Proofread and review materials to ensure accuracy in grammar, layout, and formatting. Convert documents into multiple formats, such as PDFs and web-friendly versions, suitable for a variety of platforms. Manage version control and ensure timely delivery of revised and updated materials. Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, ask questions, and ensure alignment with expectations. Handle multiple projects at once, working efficiently to meet project deadlines

Education and Experience:

Minimum 1 years experience in a Desktop Publisher or Junior Graphic Design Role with Artificial Intelligence knowledge in this domain.

Any qualification related to desktop publishing or graphic design

Key Functional / Technical Knowledge:

Proficiency with desktop publishing and design software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. Strong understanding of layout design principles, typography, and color theory, particularly for educational content. Experience preparing materials for print, web, and digital formats. Excellent attention to detail and ability to proof and edit content for accuracy and clarity. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently. Ability to work independently and manage projects from start to finish without daily supervision. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators and administrators remotely. Proficiency with desktop publishing and design software, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. Intermediate skills in MS Office, Productivity Tools, Excel, Presentations, Word, Microsoft Teams and AI tools is essential

Pay: R3750,00 - R5000,00 per month
