Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all relevant employment documentation is accurately completed for all new hires
  • Accurate and up to date record keeping on the HR system
  • Drafting of employment contracts
  • Monitor employee leave in line with company policy
  • Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultation role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Facilitate disciplinary process and setting up of disciplinary enquiries
  • Preparing and handling Conciliation and Arbitration cases
  • Facilitate the grievance procedure when necessary
  • Conduct Exit Interviews
  • Induction Facilitate induction for all new employees
  • Attend to Department of Labour requirements
  • Analysing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers
  • General administration
  • Payroll administration
  • Accurate and timely completion of monthly HR Reports
  • Enhance employer / employee relationship
  • Developing with line managers HR planning strategies
  • Matric (Grade 12) qualification
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or similar qualification and/or experience
  • Excellent knowledge of local labour laws LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHSA etc.
  • At least 2 years experience in an HR Generalist position
  • Valid Code 08 drivers licence and own reliable transport essential
