Job Summary:



We are seeking an experienced HSSE Field Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing HSSE expertise and support to our operations teams in the field. Key Responsibilities:



Executes HSSE Gap Analysis and Audits at Depots, DC's and workshops, including Moov Energy subsidiaries.

Advise Facility Managers on HSSE Requirements.

Provide Guidance to Controllers on HSSE Requirements.

Observations on Driver Briefings in order to improve the briefing process.

Continuous Improvement of Driver Behaviour by way of observing vehicle cameras.

Journey Management Improvement Observations.

Enhancing the Quality of Driver Pre-trip Inspections.

Delivery Procedure Improvement by conducting Unplanned Observations at Retail Sites.

Assist the Retail Sites to be compliant to legislation and Industry Standards.

Improving the Effectiveness of Safety Representative Committee Meetings.

Reviewing Driver Training Material to ensure it is in line with company policies, legislation and industry standards.

Assisting with the facilitation of Safety Standdowns.

Develops and maintains emergency response plans and emergency evacuation procedures.

Testing and improving the readiness of the Moov Energy emergency plans by assisting with Off Site Emergency Drills.

Continuous Improvement of Driver Training Techniques by way of Auditing the Facilitation Process.

Provides an advisory service to Moov employees to operate within the laws, regulations, and industry standards with regards to petroleum related operations and storage.

Reviewing Transporters commitment to Moov HSSE requirements.

Requirements:



Educational Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) passed. SAMTRAC. Certifications in Incident Investigation, Facilitation, Auditing, Risk Assessments. NEBOSH certification will be an advantage. A degree in Occupational Health and Safety will be an advantage. ISO 45001 and ISO 31001 certifications will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in an HSSE role, preferably in the fuel industry with a strong background in transport operations. Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards, and best practices. Transport and Warehousing of Dangerous Goods (Fuel and LPG)
o Being a member of SAIOSH will be an added advantage.

Skills Requirements:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent computer skills.

Other Requirements:

Willingness to travel to field locations (more than 50% of the time). Strong verbal communication skills within the Afrikaans and English languages. Must be able to apply their mind in a practical and technical sense. Based in Kraaifontein. Own reliable transport. Flexibility to travel throughout the Western Cape.
