Our client in the Legal Services industry is currently looking for a Junior Information Specialist, in Cape Town.Responsibilities:
The Junior Information Specialist is responsible for providing specialised, professional research services and will need to assist with general IRC administrative and monitoring services.
Provide support for various IRC administrative functions, services, and projects
Conduct research for all offices.
Work with a variety of teams in the business (from operations to fee earners)
Monitor sources of information to keep internal clients up to date on the latest legal developments.
Work on ad hoc projects in support of the IRCs key performance areas.
Requirements:
Relevant Diploma or Bachelors degree.
2-3 Years experience in a law library.
Experience with conducting legal research.
Knowledge of electronic legal resources (LexisNexis, Juta, Sabinet)
Knowledge of library administrative functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in Genie Plus would be advantageous.
Good administrative and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem-Solving Skills.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Project management skills will be advantageous.

Remuneration:
R22 000 - R40 000 per month depending on experience.
