Our client in a Manufacturer and Distributions industry is currently looking for a Junior Key Account Manager, in Cape Town, Western Cape.Responsibilities:

  • The Planned Role A successful candidate would assist the key account manager in fostering strong customer relationships and delivering value.

  • In-Depth Customer Understanding: A KAM must possess a comprehensive understanding of their customers strategy, market position, and organizational structure. This insight allows them to tailor solutions that align with the customers objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working effectively across teams such as sales, marketing, and technical support is vital for creating comprehensive offerings that meet client needs.
  • Leadership Skills: KAMs need strong leadership abilities to guide their teams, ensuring that all members are aligned and working towards the client's goals.
  • Strategic Planning and Coordination: Managing complex accounts requires meticulous planning and execution.
  • KAMs must analyse outcomes and adapt strategies to ensure success.
  • Robust Business Acumen: Understanding how businesses operate and generate revenue helps KAMs provide valuable insights that support clients in achieving their key performance indicators.
  • Analytical Mindset: KAMs should have strong analytical skills to develop business cases, navigate data platforms, and present findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Effective Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills are crucial for keeping clients and stakeholders informed and for delivering impactful presentations.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Key account managers are also required to plan regular promotions, marketing events and activities to drive sales.

Requirements:
  • The candidate should ideally be based in Cape Town, though monthly travel to Johannesburg would be required.
  • A valid drivers licence and ideally some form of successful Tertiary education.
  • The long-term role is office based, though the initial work period of three months will include work from home.
  • Strong and proven numeracy, Sales and Marketing skills would be an advantage.
Renumeration:
  • R36 000 - R40 000 per month.
