Our clients value a transparent, 100% unbiased, fee-for-service model to help put them in control of their finances and live the rich life they deserve.Having worked at Google for nine years, our founder, Rory Brachner, is using his experience to help accelerate the evolution of the financial advice industry, first in South Africa and then in other markets globally. Were an early stage startup, having secured our first clients in 2022 and growing rapidly since then.ROLE OVERVIEW:Help us pull back the curtain to show savvy South Africans what actual financial advice looks like. Be an integral part of our journey to our first 1000 clients, and accelerate the availability of a world-leading flat-fee financial advice offering in SA. Currently less than 1% of advisors in South Africa operate on a flat-fee model, far behind other markets, like the US where its closer to 20%. Be at the forefront of this seismic industry shift in SA and a huge opportunity to create a viable alternative to the traditional advice model.This role is our first marketing hire and would be working directly with our founder, Rory Brachner, an ex Google executive obsessed with helping South Africans get access to 100% unbiased, flat-fee financial advice.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Were a fast paced, early stage startup looking for a hands-on marketing generalist. Help us test out and execute different strategies, messages and channels. Move very quickly and be able to adapt rapidly based on testing and iteration across channels.Youll be managing our most important strategic channels, managing marketing vendors, and also getting your hands dirty executing within these channels.The following are current focus areas but may shift and evolve depending on the results:Social MediaKey outcome: Grow follower count in line with targets, through managing effective, regular posts across LinkedIn and one other social channelManage social media marketing efforts, including content creation, community management, and social advertising campaignsWork with production vendors to help create and curate video content to push out onto social platformsAnalyse and optimise our social media creative, content and campaignsWebinars and eventsKey outcome: Rapidly ramp us up from one webinar/event per quarter to between five and ten per quarterDevelop, organise, and manage the end-to-end execution of in-person and virtual events and webinars, ensuring each aligns with the companys branding and strategic objectivesWork closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth coordination, effective promotion, and high-quality production of events and webinarsCreate opportunities for events and webinars by collaborating with other brands/organisations, leveraging these relationships to expand reach, and increase attendee engagementPR & InfluencersKey outcome: Ramp up to two high impact PR / influencer engagements per quarterDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key influencers, creating and executing impactful campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagementBuild and nurture a network of journalists and media contacts, sharing compelling content and stories to secure PR exposure and elevate the brand's public profileDesign and implement innovative PR campaigns, creating briefs, managing copywriters, and overseeing the distribution of content to ensure successful execution and brand alignmentRequired Experience & SkillsAny relevant marketing or business degree3+ years experience in marketingHas a can-do attitude, willing to take initiative, think outside the box and roll your sleeves up to get involved with growing and scaling a fast paced startupAble to take feedback and transform it into actions and behavioursKeen to build new relationships with key stakeholders to support business growth through forging strong relationships that bring value to the businessIs a great communicator that feels confident in speaking to all internal and external parties in a persuasive and compelling wayNice-to-have experience & skills:Social media management and paid social campaign experienceVideo production and editing exposureEvents and webinar management experienceKnowledge of PR processes and placementsExperience in using CanvaBenefits:Flexible working hoursRemote four days per week, in the Cape Town office one day per weekLunch providedJob Type: Full-timePay: R25 000,00 - R35 000,00 per monthApplication Question(s):What is your salary expectation?Experience:Marketing: 3 years (Required)Location:Cape Town, Western Cape (Required)
