Job Description
Due to an upcoming Goods Hoist regulation change, we require another Junior Mechanical Engineer on our team in Pinetown. Just like the position we filled last month, no experience is required. The role involves:
a) Producing drawings of our lifts for sign-off by architects/structural engineers/builders/end users. Initially only for standard lifts, but increasingly for more custom solutions, all in compliance with the applicable lift standard for that product.
b) Producing the manufacturing packs that our factory requires to manufacture these lifts in accordance with the signed-off drawings. Again, initially only for standard lifts but later for increasingly costly and custom units.
c) Nesting for our laser machine (including improving our nesting process once basic nesting has been mastered)
d) Design work e.g. to streamline production in the factory, to improve the design of our components, to streamline the offloading process when trucks deliver heavy items of various dimensions to our factory etc.
We require a B.Tech (Mechanical) as a minimum, or in exceptional circumstances, that you are studying towards that qualification. A particularly strong academic history is required.
