Job Description
My client is looking for a highly motivated Junior Merchandise Planner, to join their Merchandise team at their Head Office in Cape Town. Reporting to the Divisional Head, this role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career as a Planner and Data Analyst, while working on some of South Africa's leading Sporting, Outdoor and Athleisure Brands.Responsibilities
- Drive the planning and management processes for relevant brand/product ranges.
- Stock management.
- Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organization profitability objectives.
- Provide analytical data in support of seasonal product and range development.
- Monitor sales forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends.
- Work with customers, sales team and supply chain to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Margin forecasting and management.
- Strategic input on product ranges.
- Work closely with the Design Team on range building and planning.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities.
- Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans.
- Implement analytical measures and tracking in various processes of the business.
- Measure and report monthly, weekly and daily on key performance indicators of the Manufacturing Division.
Experience: 1 - 2 years relevant experience in Clothing Retail would be ideal.
Additional: Strong analytical skills and numerical ability. Good organisational and communication skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Computer literacy is essential. Experience in any ERP Planning software will be advantageous. Position located in Cape Town.
