Job Description
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a B.Sc. Agric in Animal Science/Nutrition
- Proficiency in using relevant software for documentation and compliance tracking is essential
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Act 36 is important for this role
- Ensuring all products comply with the legal requirements as per Act 36.
- Staying updated with changes in regulations and ensuring products and processes are aligned accordingly.
- Conducting research and development on the product level as well as for the customer/consumer.
- Running product trials.
- Meeting with suppliers to incorporate new products to improve formulations.
- Working with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in the development of products and packaging.
- Conducting regular internal product audits to ensure quality and compliance.
- Documenting and reporting audit findings, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Monitoring and evaluating the nutritional content of ingredients and finished products.
- Ensuring packaging labels are accurate and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Preparing and maintaining regulatory documentation for all products.
- Providing support during external audits and inspections.
- Liaising with regulatory bodies and ensuring timely submission of required documentation.
