Eastern Cape, Port ElizabethMonthly Basic Salary (Market related)Our client a leading provider of software solutions to the retail and hospitality sectors is seeking to employ a Junior Office/ Stock Administrator.Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Monitoring:
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and stock activities.
  • Help monitor stock levels to ensure product availability and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Participate in regular inventory audits and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
Stock Management:
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of stock control systems and procedures.
  • Assist in tracking and managing stock using inventory management software.
  • Ensure all stock items are properly labelled and organized in the stock holding area.
Ordering and Replenishment:
  • Help generate purchase orders for stock replenishment based on inventory levels and sales forecasts.
  • Assist in liaising with regional branches to ensure timely delivery of stock.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to help manage lead times and order quantities.
Data Entry and Management:
  • Update inventory records in the system accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting regular inventory reports and metrics to management.
Coordination and Communication:
  • Work closely with the sales, operations, and technical teams to ensure smooth inventory operations.
  • Communicate effectively with regional branches and internal departments regarding stock issues and requirements.
  • Provide support to staff on inventory management procedures and systems.
Quality Control:
  • Assist in inspecting stock for quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Help manage returns and exchanges of defective or incorrect stock items.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stock holding environment.
