Junior Planner

The ideal candidate is highly data-driven, and comfortable working with tools that use statistical and machine learning approaches to forecast demand. You should have great attention to detail, and a hunger to build an efficient system that keeps product in stock while minimizing unnecessary purchasing.
Role and responsibilities
Core responsibility: The stock management of your assigned categories. Specifically managing stock replenishments through the placing of orders by avoiding out of stock as well as excess stock situations
.Main KPIs
Placing of purchase orders within your categories and budgets to meet fill rate requirements Handling of stock transfers to retail stores Accurate forecasting to avoid out of stocks and excess stock holding Ensure a healthy stock turnover through cooperation with the buyers Manage stock aging through clearance, returns and range discontinuations Maintain good working relationships with suppliers
Daily Tasks
Placing of purchase orders within budgets Action retail store stock transfers Pre-emptive forecast adjusting to meet demand and future trends Margin improvements Turnover/Excess stock management
Requirements
A qualification/diploma in Buying, Supply Chain Management or similar OR experience in a buying, planning or procurement role in an e-commerce/online retail environment Entrepreneurial/commercial mindset Ability to build lasting supplier relationships and manage according to SLAs Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude; self-motivated Strong analytical and critical thinking, ability to use data to inform decisions, identify the root cause and resolve problem Ability to manage priorities according to clear prioritization and structured planning Comfortable with change and excellent team player
