Job Summary Leading national packaging company requires a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer (BSc/BEng) for their production site in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs. Preference given to EE candidates. MONTHLY REMUNERATION: xe2x80xa2 R25 000 to R28 000 +pension +medical aid REQUIREMENTS: xe2x80xa2 BSc / BEng Mechanical or Mechatronics degree xe2x80xa2 1 - 2 years working experience in a related role, ideally in the FMCG / packaging / plastics industry xe2x80xa2 Project management qualification and experience advantageous xe2x80xa2 Competency in 3D CAD design (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks) xe2x80xa2 Ability to communicate effectively at all levels xe2x80xa2 Familiar with ISO procedures xe2x80xa2 Ability to negotiate effectively xe2x80xa2 A strong ability to think logically and rationally xe2x80xa2 Highly computer literate especially Excel skills xe2x80xa2 Be assertive and forthright xe2x80xa2 Be enthusiastic, positive and self energised xe2x80xa2 A strong financial and commercial aptitude xe2x80xa2 Excellent problem solving skills xe2x80xa2 Excellent numeracy skills xe2x80xa2 Ability to work effectively in team RESPONSIBILITIES: xe2x80xa2 Overseeing installations of various new multi-million rand machines and technology xe2x80xa2 Overseeing assigned engineering and technical projects xe2x80xa2 Ensuring customer satisfaction with respect to all engineering projects xe2x80xa2 Overseeing machine and automation design projects xe2x80xa2 Developing and implementing project schedules and forecasts xe2x80xa2 Coordinating and checking of engineering deliverables xe2x80xa2 Reporting monthly on project status and change orders xe2x80xa2 Planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects xe2x80xa2 Assisting in the preparation of engineering project and machine acquisition proposals xe2x80xa2 Assisting in the coordination of pricing, estimating, scoping strategies for proposed projects and in the development and preparation of technical specifications xe2x80xa2 Assisting in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for project xe2x80xa2 Implementing successful engineering and automation projects xe2x80xa2 Communicating extensively with assigned project clients, external customers and suppliers, both overseas and local xe2x80xa2 Involved in new product development and prototyping Contact Scott on 0117041302McKessar RecruitmentRandburg2-10RecruiterAboutWe are specialist recruiters in the following industries : 1.) high speed packaging (FMCG), 2.) plastics packaging and 3.) industrial pumps and valves.
