Job Description

My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Site Agent to ensure that construction activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate project work to meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee site management and daily task execution.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and contract requirements.
• Manage site measurements, cost reports, and subcontractor certifications.
• Communicate with clients and site personnel to resolve issues and coordinate schedules.
• Maintain documentation for contractual matters and manage finances.
• Supervise subcontractors and oversee tools, equipment, and human resources.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• ND or BTech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years in civil engineering, particularly in site management.
• Strong surveying skills and experience with civil infrastructure projects (pipework, services, layer works, asphalt).
• Understanding of earthmoving methods and construction techniques.
• Familiarity with project values between R10 million and R20 million.
• Knowledge of CCS software is a plus.
• Basic understanding of contract law and legal aspects of construction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Registration with SACPCMP and/or ECSA is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive with strong decision-making skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
