Requirements
Aptitude: We need problem solvers, who use programming as a tool to solve tangible issues and want to learn about the real-world challenges - from cyber security tech to finance and insurance systems i.e., the right aptitude, smarts and pragmatic approach to solve a real-world challenge. Solving the problems requires competencies such as strong logical deduction, programming, modern data science, planning, technical computer science and mathematics.
Qualification: Requires a sufficient programming background, and a relevant (Bachelors or higher) degree e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics/Data/Engineering & adequate programming training/courses or experience.
Relatively agnostic to platforms/programming language: As these can be learnt/accommodated for, but ideally the candidate has experience in .Net and Python.
Strong back-end knowledge, with good enough front-end knowledge: We're building a robust, scalable, secure system, database structures and API's integrating into multiple places. The bulk is back-end development and processing. There is also front-end work, and there will be additional support from designers/front end specialists. The developer needs to be able to code sufficiently well in a front-end framework such as ASP, Django etc.
Character: Importantly, we need someone with the right attitude to life and work - we are a high performing, happy close-knit team, and we want someone who is keen to work with people, get the problem solved, and wants to learn and grow.
