Job Title: Junior Stock Control & Procurement OfficerLocation:Western Cape, City of Cape Town, Cape TownJob Type:Contract, expected to work Full-Time hoursPrimary Industry:IT and InternetSecondary Industry:IT and InternetSalary:ZAR8000 - ZAR10000 Per monthJob Duties:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of inventory
- Coordinate with suppliers to place orders and track deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and transactions
- Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast stock needs and plan procurement activities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant certification or training in stock control and procurement
- 1-2 years of experience in stock control or procurement role
- Experience with inventory management software
- Understanding of stock control principles and practises
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Additional certifications in stock control or procurement
- Office-based role with occasional visits to warehouses or suppliers
- Regular working hours with potential for overtime during busy periods
- Collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development
