Our client, Environmental consultants in Cape Town are currently seeking the skills of a Junior Sustainable Design ConsultantMain job functionManaging the allocated Project Portfolio, including:

• Project management
• Quality control
• Meeting deadlines
• Managing deliverables
• Ensuring Client satisfaction
• Preparation of fee proposals

Managing the allocated rationale design portfolio, including:

• Quality control
• Meeting deadlines
• Managing deliverables
• Ensuring Client satisfaction

Assisting with the development of a rationale design service business unitAssistance with the development of operational systems and processes to continually improve the efficiency of the above-mentioned servicesDevelopment of new product offerings from the Green Building Services Team for the CompanyAssistance with Client recruitment, development and maintaining and enhancing Client relations for the CompanyAssistance with Project recruitment and development for the CompanyAssist with developing and implementing Training ProgrammesPublic SpeakingAssistance with strengthening existing partnerships and development of new strategic partnerships, respectivelyStrengthening and improving brand presence of the CompanyAdministration and general logistical support to the Company.General logistical support to the CompanyQualificationsPost graduate science or BSc/BEng Engineering degree in environmental or similar fieldCriteria1 year private sector experience across green building sectorCritical thinking skillsObsessive attention to detailGood project management skillsGood people skillsExemplary work ethicNot afraid to muck in to get the job doneThe ability to push through to an end goal / outcome even if the landscape of the project changesThe ability to take instruction and act on this precisely and to deadlinesThe ability to perform the role of a wingman or a project leader as and when the project needs require thisExperience on previous certifications (green star, living building, EDGE, net zero etc.) will be advantageousCertified as a Green Star AP is a mustConsulting experienceA Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
