Junior UnderwriterLocation: Foreshore, Cape Town
Type: Full-Time | Entry-LevelAre you a recent graduate with 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field? Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Underwriter to join their dynamic Underwriting (UW) team! In this role, you'll play a key part in preparing and evaluating deals, conducting research, and ensuring smooth underwriting operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the underwriting team in preparing deals for review and approval
- Conduct preliminary reviews of potential clients by researching companies and analyzing credit reports
- Support the UW team by maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and timely deal progression
- Stay updated on industry trends, financial markets, and relevant regulations
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 1-2 years of relevant experience (internships included)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A proactive and collaborative mindset
