Job Description


This role is responsible for the management of sales and relationships with allocated key accounts and for creating long-term relationships with the portfolio of assigned clients and growing the overall business.This role is based in the Northern Cape, KathuResponsibilities:Attending to member, HR, Union, and other requests via telephone, email and on confirmed visits to clients i.e.:

  • Account/claim queries (rejections, short paid, unpaid etc.)
  • Specialist and hospital authorisations, disease management inquiries
  • Acute, OTC, TTO, and chronic medication
  • Adding of dependents, card requests, change of option, change of personal information, new applications, reinstatement of dependents etc.
  • Product and benefit confirmation
  • Continuous member, HR, Union, and other education
  • Other medical aid-related concerns or issues
Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders:
  • Create new lasting relationships based on trust
Planning monthly schedule:
  • Refer to the yearly plan as a guide to set monthly/quarterly schedules
  • Send invitation to client with proposed date and time (visit +/- 2-3 hours depending on size of client), confirmed appointments form part of monthly schedule
  • Ensure all necessary information is available for visit i.e. tax certificates, membership certificates, outstanding feedback on queries, medicine bags and refills, etc.
  • Distribute medicine bags and refills to members on the anniversary date of their employer
  • Requests from employers, HR, Union to attend Info sessions, mass meetings, union meetings operation meetings or inductions form part of monthly schedule
  • Submit monthly schedule together with budget request to GM:CS for approval by the 25th of each month
  • Budget payments received by 1st of each month
  • Send notification of visit to HR and Union or send SMS to members
  • Submit all travel claims by the 10th of each month
  • Complete all queries on daily work sheet and capture all interactions on Dashboard by the last working day of each month
  • Courtesy visit to HR/Payroll/Employer to get confirmation of site visit sign off and to confirm if there are any queries, issues, or concerns
  • Courtesy visit to shop steward to confirm if there are any queries, issues, or concerns
Business Review Planning:
  • Prepare business review reports based on monthly report
  • Prepare for Area Manager meetings with Key Accounts Managers to report on key accounts to inform main account holder
  • Remain abreast of what is happening in department and industry
Facilitation of Wellness days :
  • Send an application for wellness day to client
  • Confirm dates and times
  • Get the necessary promotional and marketing material
  • Preparation and setting up
Facilitation of Soccer Tournaments and PR Events:
  • Submit a request for approval
  • Confirm dates and times
  • Get the necessary promotional and marketing material
  • Preparation and setting up
Open Period and Year-End Revision:
  • Start setting up dates for client visits to do YER after the Schemes benefit launch
  • Prepare in conjunction with brokers
  • Request increased times from clients
  • Set up mass presentations and one-on-one sessions
New Business:
  • Focus on growing the business
  • Conduct presentation to prospective clients
  • Follow through to signing an employer agreement
Miscellaneous:
  • Quarterly ordering of magazines for distribution to employers, members, doctors (GPs, Dentists, Optometrists), hospitals
  • Weekly administration
  • Following up on outstanding queries
  • Logging queries onto the Dashboard
  • Responding to emails
  • Office maintenance i.e. as needed supplies, cleaning, and utensils

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Matric
  • A tertiary qualification in business administration, or a related field
  • 3-5 Years work experience and understanding of Medical Aid or Healthcare Industry or experience in a similar role.
  • Valid drivers license
