Job Description


A Global Pharmaceutical Company has a vacancy for a Key Account Manager within their Radiology division.Job Purpose:
The Key Account Managers are the key point of contact between Radiology and healthcare professionals, building relationships and working strategically to increase product awareness, answering product queries and introducing new products all with a clear focus on meeting patient's and customer's needs will adhering to compliance codes/policies internally and externally.Key Responsibilities:

  • Selling the Radiology product range, to all defined customers (Radiologist, Pharmacists and other HCPs);
  • Managing a complicated sales process which includes various stake holders in the decision process which includes Practice Mangers, Key Radiology Directors, technicians, Procurement managers and hospital administrators.
  • Meeting (and exceeding) sales targets for the specified product portfolio;
  • Planning and managing the national territory using available systems, which includes daily administrative duties (logging calls, corporate compliant workflow involving functions and events, expense claims, keeping record of promotional spend, etc.) which are clearly explained in the Sales Force Effectiveness documentation;
  • Developing compliant strategies for increasing opportunities to meet face-to-face with customers in the medical and healthcare sector;
  • Keeping up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpreting, presenting and discussing this data with health professionals during face-to-face interactions. Maintaining product knowledge by attending training sessions; reviewing published clinical trials; attending scientific meetings.
  • Adjusting content of sales presentations by assessing customer's and patient's needs and presenting appropriate clinical data to increase awareness of products whilst still adhering to marketing strategies.
  • Managing budgets for appropriate promotional items, arranging meetings with outside speakers and relevant hospitalities.
  • Building and maintaining positive professional working relationships with healthcare professionals and supporting staff;
  • Monitoring competition and opportunities by gathering current, published marketplace information. Gathering, analyzing and sharing information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies appropriate to the customers' and patients 'needs;
  • Collaborating with the Medical Department to plan and execute educational/scientific activities for customers on a need's basis.
  • Ensuring adherence to industry-specific codes of practice or conduct, advertising codes, regulatory directive and guidelines, as applicable to the role, and to the program for legal compliance and corporate responsibility at the company.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary medical qualification such as Radiography diploma / degree or equivalent
  • Preferably Medical / radiography background with device sales in radiography experience, and open to experience in selling capital equipment for radiology.
  • Intuitive, go-getter individual who requires minimal supervision and who is engaged in the business.
  • An experienced sales representative with a proven track record and a minimum of 3 to 4 years in pharmaceutical Sales with excellent relationships within the Radiology field or medical field.
  • Commercial awareness, sales skills, customer service, motivation for sales and meeting sales goals, territory management, prospecting skills, negotiation skills, self-confidence, product knowledge, presentation skills, strong interpersonal and communication and negotiation skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Language proficiency relevant to the customer base.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Leadership ability; Conduct business with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Willingness to travel to attend congresses, sales/marketing meetings, to service customers in sales territory and surrounds including country trips or other designated venues
