Job SummaryMaximize sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within a designated territory or market segment by effectively promoting and selling the company's products and related services.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Plan and manage your business portfolio, territory, or segment according to an agreed market development strategy.
  • Execute business plans effectively and develop contingencies for unanticipated challenges.
  • Manage product/service mix, pricing, and margins to meet agreed objectives.
Market Analysis
  • Increase market share by identifying new niches, applications, and product opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities, providing relevant insights and managing successful promotions and specials.
  • Analyze market and sales trends, providing regular reports.
  • Plan and support local marketing activities within agreed budgets and timelines, integrating personal sales efforts with organized marketing initiatives like product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions, and telemarketing.
Accurate Forecasting
  • Ensure adequate stock of the right products to avoid shortages.
  • Compile monthly and yearly sales forecasts.
Budget Controls
  • Ensure a strong return on investment and brand sustainability.
  • Achieve income targets and manage risks effectively to meet goals.
  • Recruit and select new dealers strategically.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new customers, optimizing service quality, business growth, and customer satisfaction through ethical sales methods and effective internal coordination.
New Business Development
  • Innovate strategies to grow the business with your customers.
  • Provide management with solutions when faced with challenges.
  • Liaise with corporate contacts, building and developing strong relationships.
  • Assist in preparing and ensuring adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Manage the full tendering process, including proposal writing, costing, and justifications.
Strong Customer Relationships
  • Manage and strengthen the relationship between the company and its customers.
  • Treat customers as partners, challenging them to grow their business with the companys brands.
  • Utilize customer and prospect contact tools and systems, keeping relevant information up-to-date.
Reporting
  • Provide necessary reports and analysis as required.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, plans, and contact reports.
Required Experience
  • Excellent presentation skills are essential.
  • Experience in market analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an advanced level.
  • Ability to use databases for recording and reporting.
  • Sales experience in the HVAC industry, with a solid understanding of HVAC products (e.g., VRF, Chillers, Split units).

Educational Requirements
  • Matric with 3-5 years of sales and marketing experience.
  • A degree or diploma in Sales & Marketing is advantageous.
  • Sales or Technical qualification preferred.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel to customers is required.
  • Spend 20% of your working week in the office and 80% externally.
  • Expect a minimum of three nights away from home per month.
  • Willingness and ability to travel both nationally and internationally when required.
