:The opportunity:An exciting position has arisen within the Design and Manufacturing Division, for a Key Accounts Manager. The successful candidate must have at least 8 years' experience in the Trend, Design or Manufacturing division of High Fashion apparel, preferably with a focus on menswear. They need to have had experience in managing a team across various job functions. They must have dealt directly with major fashion retailers within the South African market and have had direct dealing with Buying teams.Responsibilities:

  • Managing a Design team of graphic, fashion and pattern designers
  • Collating and managing design calendars and processes governed by key international benchmarks as well as retail timelines and PIS.
  • Translating international trends for the local menswear market into exciting, actionable and relevant presentations
  • Presenting credible trend presentations to buying teams with clear and feasible outlook on manufacturing strategy
  • Dealing with both local and international suppliers.
  • Managing the workflow within the team to ensure that product is delivered on time.
Requirements:
  • The successful candidate must have at least 8 years' experience in Trend, Design or Manufacturing of High Fashion apparel. Menswear experience is advantageous.
  • They need to have had experience in managing a Team across various job functions.
  • They must have dealt directly with major fashion retailers within the South African market.
  • They need to have had direct dealing with Buyers, and external suppliers
  • Design/Trend background is essential as the candidate needs a clear understanding of trends to influence product development and ensure good rate of sale.
  • Experience in dealing with performance management, timekeeping and general conduct within a team is required.
